What’s the tea on diversity? (And can we spill it?) ☕️
Your monthly Diversity, Equity & Inclusion newsletter by House of Inclusion
🎉🌈 Let’s reflect on Diversity Day & Coming Out Day, fabulous people! 🌈🎉
This month was all about celebrating our beautiful diversity and the courage of those who come out! While we may have moved on to new adventures already, let’s take a moment to look back at the magic we created together!
Diversity Day was a vibrant reminder that our differences make us stronger, bolder, and infinitely more fabulous! Because honestly, who wants to live in a world that’s just one color? Not us! 🎨✨
And then we had Coming Out Day, where countless souls embraced their truth and shared their stories. Whether you stepped into the spotlight for the first time or celebrated years of authenticity, your bravery inspires us all! Remember, coming out is a journey, not a destination, and we’re here to support and uplift every step of the way.
So, as we wrap up this month of celebration, let’s carry that spirit forward. Keep shining your light, embracing diversity, and supporting each other, because every day is a good day to be fabulous! 🌟💖

Your October Diversity Digest
SPOTLIGHT: Queer at Work #3 was a blast!
On October 4th, The Social Hub Amsterdam was alive with energy during the third edition of Queer at Work, celebrating inclusivity in the workplace. 🌈
We connected, networked, shared stories, had a laugh and shed a tear together. And what an incredible line up to help us accomplish this. A heartfelt thank you to all the inspiring speakers who energized the stage: Martijn Kamphorst, Deen Groothuizen, Raisa Sambo, Haroon Ali, Emily van Putten, Sophie van der Schaft, Maksym Dziarmaga, Kim Koppenol, Sander Heithuis, Marco Visscher, and René Brouwers. Your stories of resilience and authenticity truly made an impact!
We also want to extend our gratitude to our sponsors: The Social Hub, RTL Nederland, Gemeente Amsterdam, Personio, Great Place To Work® Nederland, Wakuli, Santani Organics, and Tony's Chocolonely. Your support made this event possible!
Thank you to everyone who joined us in fostering a more inclusive workplace! 🚀🏳️🌈

What’s been happening at House of Inclusion
We have entered autumn and when the sun goes down a bit, we will be your ray of sunshine in DE&I 🌞
Alongside Danielle hosting and introducing an impressive lineup of top tech innovators at SaaSiest Amsterdam, and Sacha leading engaging conversations at HR Day, House of Inclusion has been busy making strides. Here’s a glimpse of what we accomplished together:
TNO: In celebration of Diversity Month, we conducted several workshops focusing on psychological safety. These sessions emphasized the importance of creating inclusive environments where everyone feels secure to express themselves.
Younium: We delivered a keynote on the significance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), highlighting its impact on workplace culture and performance.
Lepaya: We facilitated an allyship workshop during a trainee program at one of Netherland’s largest banks, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to support DE&I initiatives effectively.
AVIKO: Danielle served as moderator for two days at AVIKO's annual conference, fostering discussions on key industry topics.
AdWise: In September, we launched a revitalized landing page showcasing AdWise's mission, vision, and goals. This initiative aims to enhance visibility around DE&I efforts. You can check out the landing page here.
Additionally, AdWise has initiated a campaign for greater awareness on DE&I, leading to an inspiring feature: Diversity Day at AdWise: The Umbrella as a Symbol of Diversity.

Rest in Power Michaela DePrince 🕊️
We mourn the loss of Michaela DePrince, who passed away on October 5, 2024. A trailblazer in the ballet world, Michaela inspired countless individuals with her grace, resilience, and passion for dance. Her journey from adversity to stardom showcased the power of hope.
Michaela was a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion, using her platform to highlight the importance of representation in the arts. She empowered aspiring dancers of all backgrounds, challenging the industry's norms and creating opportunities for underrepresented artists. Through her memoir, "Taking Flight," and the documentary "First Position," she shared her story and inspired future generations.
Rest in Power, Michaela. Your legacy of courage and inclusivity will continue to inspire many. 🌹
Let’s finish off with some cool vidsss as always.
